~ Connect With Your Customers On Hold ~
We’ve All Experienced It
Too many callers on-hold and prolonged wait times can damage your business if not handled correctly. This problem is primarily caused by understaffing or employee support systems that are inadequate. With 94% of all marketing budgets devoted to attracting customer calls, but only 6% allocated to assisting those calls once they are received – you need to implement a marketing devise that goes beyond simple music-on-hold to keep customers engaged.
Take Advantage of These Precious Minutes
Even though your phones are jammed with clients “on-hold”, this is not a bad problem to have. It means you’re busy. Better than too few calls, right? At this point you can hire more people, or you can begin engaging your customers waiting on-hold with target content. Did you know that 16-20% of all callers made a purchase based on an offer they heard on-hold? It’s a documented fact.

What Exactly Is On Hold Marketing?
On-hold messaging is not your company answering machine or voice-mail. It’s for those times when your employees are too busy to care for every patient, client, & customer.
How Does On Hold Work?
A digital audio player designed specifically for on hold messaging is plugged into your phone system, and any time the “hold” button is pressed on one of your phones, the caller will hear the on-hold messages and music. The recording plays on a continuous loop, so the caller hears whatever part of the message is playing at that moment.
Is There an Ideal Length for the Recordings?
On-hold recordings average around 4 minutes in length, with 8 “messages” or paragraphs. The recording plays on a continuous loop, so there’s no beginning or end, and the caller will hear whatever part is playing at the moment he/she is placed on hold. There is always music in the background, and about 10 seconds of music in between each paragraph.
Ideally, your callers should not be on-hold for the entire recording, but even if they’re on-hold for 2 or 3 minutes, they won’t hear the same message twice.
When should I update my on-hold recording?
On-hold messaging is most effective when the recordings are updated on a consistent basis. Businesses that play the same on-hold recording for months or even years at a time are missing out – and even risk upsetting their customers.
